About Totally Real Bands

Totally Real Bands was founded on a simple premise: there are bands out there — important bands, formative bands, bands that shaped the sound of a generation — that have never received the recognition they deserve. And more importantly, their fans have never had a proper place to buy a shirt.

We are that place.

Our mission is to preserve the legacies of musical acts across every genre, every era, and every part of this great country. From the industrial metal halls of Wichita to the Boca Raton assisted living facilities that gave us Old Man Creepers, these artists changed lives. The fact that you may not have heard of them is a function of the music industry's systematic failure to document what actually mattered. It is not a function of whether they existed.

They existed.

Our merchandise is printed on demand by our fulfillment partner and ships directly to you from the United States. There is no warehouse full of shirts that nobody bought, because every shirt is made for the person who bought it. We find this fitting for bands that were always ahead of their time.

We are not affiliated with any of the bands. This is because we do not need to be. The bands' legacies speak for themselves. We are simply the vehicle by which those legacies reach the people who were always going to appreciate them.

A Note on Authenticity

Every design in our collection has been developed with careful attention to the band's era, genre, and documented visual aesthetic. The fonts are period-appropriate. The imagery reflects the band's actual artistic vision. The city lists on the back of our tour shirts are drawn from the band's actual touring history.

We stand fully behind every claim made in these product descriptions.
